I was granted an opportunity to photograph Cameron Mooney of the Geelong Cats during their 2009 AFL finals series.
I decided to go to a wrecking yard to find an old door, buy it and then smash a large hole in it with the vision of getting Moons posing through it like Jack Nicholson in The Shining.
I wanted to show him as if he was chomping at the bit to get out there on Grand Final day but the challenge obviously was getting him to buy the idea.
Luckily for me Moons loved the movie and was happy to pose.
